Love the ensemble, sexy. I’m inspired - I want to start doing this too! Maybe tomorrow when I’m not wearing a dad sized yellow sweater.

In 1989, a little girl named Amy sent a bottle of colored water, oil and glitter to Roald Dahl, who knew right away that this was a dream in a bottle inspired by his book, The BFG. In response, the author penned this short note to his 7-year-old fan.

Why am I crying right now?

Ditto. Except that I know why, because this is heavenly.

an everyday thing, not just a valentine’s thing.

Here’s a funny interview/music mix based on my boyfriend’s musical tastes. It’s been supplying my playlist today, plus he has some funny/pervy things (as per usual) in the interview part.

Joyce Vincent was 41 when she was found dead in her home, but she was 38 when she died. For three years, from 2003-2006, her body lay surrounded by Christmas gifts she was planning to wrap; the television still on. How does this happen? Especially to a woman who was social, who two-years prior had a high-powered job at Ernst and Young, who had rubbed elbows with celebrities, and who wanted to get married? That’s what Carol Morley set to find out. But her new documentary film, “Dreams of a Life,” is about more than just Joyce Vincent, a young, beautiful London woman whose parents were from the Caribbean and who no one seemed to miss when she was gone. It’s about life, death, and loneliness.”

This sounds really really interesting!

  • Mumford & Sons - Liar A lovely, dangerous song. closertotheocean: whydoihaveablog: …But then he sings it over and over and over and then, and the instruments get a little heavier and his voice gets a little more raspy and carries a little more weight and he sings oh, please don’t cry and your heart starts to feel a little different and then he breaks out, almost screaming, you liar and then your heart falls into a million little pieces all over the floor and you’re left a cold and empty person in your bedroom in Massachusetts all because you know he knows that her tears are maybe not entirely a lie, but mean nothing to him because she will never feel what he felt for her and it’s like, YEAH OKAY I GET IT, SONS. ALL SHIT IS HEARTBREAKING. EVERY DAY.

  • Salesman at the Day of the Parade - Rogue Wave I used to listen to this song quite a lot. Last spring in Portugal, it took exactly four song lengths to get from my apartment to school - I often played this twice, Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Way” once, and a misc. It was chilly there in the morning, and I passed two constructions sights on the route. The longer I listened to this song, the more convinced I was that I had done something terribly wrong. And maybe I did.
